The long-running American soap opera “General Hospital” has had many actors come and go throughout its production. Actors frequently join and leave soap operas over time due to their nature, occasionally coming back for special appearances or story arcs.
Here is a list of the spring and summer 2023 General Hospital cast members who are staying and leaving. Discover what the upcoming spring has in store for your favorite Port Charles residents.
General Hospital Goings
Charles Shaughnessy
The week of April 10, Victor Cassadine is making his getaway on the Haunted Star as Charles Shaughnessy leaves General Hospital. He will appear once more during the week of May 29, when the will is being read.
After a very long wait, viewers got to see him explain to Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) his evil scheme, which involved mass murder with a pathogen of billions of people to lower humanity’s carbon footprint.
To share his opinions about the part, the actor turned to Twitter. “The writers at General Hospital are giving Victor one of the best villain send-offs I can remember, and I have been so grateful for such a fun, meaty role,” said Victor.
Dan Buran
Dan Buran will be leaving General Hospital as Linc Brown, who was detained for being a sexual predator at the Nurses’ Ball, is taken into custody.
Emma Samms
As the conclusion of her current storyline approaches, Emma Samms is departing once more. She last appeared in scenes with Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) during Holly and Robert’s farewell exchanges.
General Hospital Debuts
James Ryan
James Ryan will make his General Hospital debut as Ethan Lovett starting on Monday, April 17, according to SoapsSpoilers. By the end of April, he will have appeared in a few scenes and left the film.
The parents of Ethan are Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms).
Jeff Griggs
The tough WSB agent, Agent Hursley, has been portrayed by Jeff Griggs. His role as Jude St. Clair on Days of Our Lives in 1995 and 1996 gave him experience with the genre. In 2010, he performed the role of Antony on Desperate Housewives as well.
AnaSofia Bianchi
Charlotte Cassadine will be played by Ana Sofia Bianchi in General Hospital. Amelie McLain, who has played Charlotte since December 21st, was replaced in the position.
On the episode airing on April 10 with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner), the actress will make her television debut.
General Hospital Special Appearance
Walt Willey
This July, Walt Willey will make a guest appearance at General Hospital.
This will be a special appearance because, according to Soap Opera Digest, Willey will return to the role of Jackson Montgomery, which he played on All My Children from 1987 to 2011, when the show run on ABC came to an end before the series moved to Hulu.
Willey has also appeared on The City in a different crossover role as Jackson Montgomery, in Ryan’s Hope as Joe Novak, in As The World Turns as Jacoby, and in Tainted Dreams as Gregory Ashford.
Brenda Barberena
Avery’s (Ava/Grace Scarola) nanny Pilar will be played this week by Brenda Barberena at General Hospital.
Christina Ferraro
Dr. Navarro actress Christina Ferraro is back at General Hospital. This week, she will appear in scenes where she meets with Molly (Holiday Mia Kriegel) and TJ (Tajh Bellow) to talk about her diagnosis.
Darin Toonder
Dr. Montague will make an appearance on GH as Darin Toonder. Some people may be familiar with his prior work, which also includes Bones, Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, Jane the Virgin, Devious Maids, and Ozark.
Cyrus Hobbi
During the week of June 5, Cyrus Hobbi will be reprising his role as Yuri. To serve as a bodyguard, he will be required. Yes, on August 23, Cyrus Hobbi once again played the bodyguard that Valentin had employed to keep an eye on Brook Lynn when the latter thought Valentin was Bailey Lu’s father.
In the spring of 2021, when the muscular actor made his debut on the soap, he immediately became popular with the audience. Moreover, his persona and Monica had a strong, ahem, chemistry.
Susan Diol
General Hospital will feature Nurse Clare, played by Susan Diol. She is best known to some as Emmy on Days of Our Lives and as Angela on One Life to Live. With Katelyn, Diol will appear in scenes.
Gavin Houston
As Portia Robinson’s (Brooke Kerr) brother Zeke, Gavin Houston makes a comeback. This is in line with Soap Digest.
Alan Brooks
The week of May 29 sees the return of Alan Brooks, who will serve as Victor’s (Charles Shaughnessy) attorney and conduct the will reading.
Vernee Watson
This week, Vernee Watson is back in General Hospital as Stella Henry. She will appear with Marshall (Robert Gossett) in several scenes.
Susan Batten and Morgan Fairchild
The home-shopping celebrities who meet with Sasha are played by Susan Batten (Flora Gardens) and Morgan Fairchild, who is back on GH. Haven de Havilland, the host of the Home & Heart program, is once again played by Fairchild.
The last time we saw Batten and Fairchild was on July 6, 2022, when Sasha had a public meltdown when she was asked to wear a baby carrier following Liam’s passing. She began having delusions that Liam was the doll in the carrier and that he was still alive.
Real Andrews
Real Andrews, who played Marcus Taggert in GH’s previous seasons, is said to be making a comeback. He will be seen in scenes with Portia (Brook Kerr) as they wait for Trina (Tabyana Ali) to arrive from Greenland safely, according to Soap Digest.
Kate Mansi
Kristina Corinthos’ previous character, Abigail Deveraux DiMera, will be replaced by Kate Mansi. After airing her final scene on April 27, according to Soap Digest, Lexi Ainsworth has already passed away.
In the meantime, Kate Mansi will make her debut the week of May 22. Kate Mansi incoming and outgoing patients at Kristina Corinthos General Hospital
Alley Mills
According to the actress’s interview with Michael Fairman, this is the case. When Heather will first make a comeback is unknown at this time. Heather was on her way back to prison when we last saw her on February 27. She is returning as Heather Webber.
Anthony Montgomery
On Friday, April 28, Anthony Montgomery will return to General Hospital in the role of Andre Maddox.
He will appear in scenes alongside Holly (Emma Samms), Anna (Finola Hughes), and Jordan (Tanisha Harper).
Stephen A. Smith
The week of April 24 will see him back in action alongside Dex (Evan Hofer). The week of April 24 will see him back in action alongside Dex (Evan Hofer). Their big meeting with the Pikeman group is something they are getting ready for.
Constance Towers
As Helena Cassadine, Constance Towers will make another appearance in the ABC soap opera.
Fans were informed on her official Facebook page that “Constance Towers has taped scenes for some upcoming General Hospital episodes.” She will be on May 5 and May 8, respectively, in the shows’ broadcasts.
Depending on the priorities of the network, air dates can always change. Any programming changes will be announced here if we are informed of them. There are only two episodes with the character.
Emma Samms
Between October 2022 and November 2022, Emma Samms appeared in General Hospital as Holly. It was later discovered that she was working for Victor to try to protect her son.
To protect Holly from Victor’s schemes, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) staged an explosion in a cabin when things became too much. They then transported Holly to a burn center.
It is only logical to conclude that Holly is returning because Miss Wu recently remembered drugging the Cassadine and the man recently visited a doctor who discovered he has a pathogen in his system. The return of Holly to the show on April 14th has been officially confirmed.
Jane Elliot
In her role as Tracy Quartermaine, Jane Elliot is making another appearance on General Hospital. On April 17th, she will return and stay for a considerable amount of time.
