It will be revealed that Zelda is the new book agent and that she has known the Abbott family for a very long time. While she is at the Abbott home, Zelda will give Traci advice on how to handle her siblings’ drama and get to know Diane Jenkins.

Traci eventually hopes that the family home can act as a defensible space and a reminder of what is crucial.

A tribute to Jerry Douglas

A special episode of The Young and the Restless will pay tribute to the late Jerry Douglas’ character John Abbott as part of the series’ 50th-anniversary celebrations.

The show was never the same after John was killed off ten years earlier, despite Douglas still making occasional appearances as Jack’s (Peter Bergman) conscience.

The episode, which will air on Thursday, June 22, will feature Kym Douglas, Jerry’s widow, as Zelda, a character with connections to the Abbott family in general and Traci (Beth Maitland) in particular.

Television viewers are likely most familiar with Kym Douglas from her appearances as a regular correspondent on the Hallmark Channel program Home & Family and Ellen, where she was friends with the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss.

She nevertheless maintains a positive attitude as she considers her next steps and pays tribute to her late husband Jerry, the fictional father whom many viewers wished they had.

Jerry Douglas was the stage and screen alter ego of Gerald Rubenstein (November 12, 1932 – November 9, 2021), an American actor.

On the daytime television drama The Young and the Restless, Douglas ruled as patriarch John Abbott for 25 years in the fictional Genoa City. Despite having had his character killed off in 2006, he continued to make cameos.

Douglas appeared on TV shows like Mission: Impossible and The Feather and the Father Gang for a number of years, frequently playing villains. Martel decided to relocate to Carmel at the same time, taking their two kids, Avra and Jod, with her.

They ultimately got divorced. At a Muscular Dystrophy Association event, he met Kymberly Bankier, with whom he later got remarried. Before she passed away in 2021, they had a son named Hunter after getting married on April 6, 1985.

On November 9, 2021, three days before his 89th birthday, Douglas passed away in Los Angeles, California, following a brief illness.
