In the penultimate episode of the fourth season of The Equalizer, the beloved character Harry Keshegian departed the town, raising concerns among fans that he might be leaving the show. Is Harry Keshegian leaving The Equalizer? Keep reading to find out.
Is Harry leaving the Equalizer?
No, Harry isn’t going anywhere, and he’ll be back in the U.S. for the Season 4 finale, which airs on May 19.
Harry was asked to assist Colton Fisk with a top-secret CIA assignment in the ninth episode of Season 4. Harry did not know the specifics of the job, but he did know that it would require him to leave the country, and he did not know for how long.
Harry disclosed his intention to take the job to his wife, Mel, in violation of their agreement. Mel was afraid for his safety and did not want him to accept it, but by the end of the show, Harry had fled the country.
Harry is not leaving just yet; he will be back in the United States for the Season 4 finale, which airs on May 19, despite fans’ concerns that this job could distance the hacker from the rest of the team.
Sadly, his wife is in danger. The official synopsis of the episode reads, “The team races against the clock after Mel is kidnapped by a member of her veteran support group; Dante is offered a position with the NYPD’s Special Investigation Unit in Los Angeles.”
An enraged Harry is shown pushing a man against a wall in the finale promo while shouting, “Where is my wife!” In a different video, Mel is seen strapped to a chair and her kidnapper telling Harry, “This woman has to die.” The kidnapper detonates a grenade as the video ends, and Harry lunges for his wife. Mel was abducted for unknown reasons, but her military background is probably a factor. Fans are cheering for the couple, even though it is unclear if they will make it through the ordeal.
Although the fifth season of the show has already been renewed, no other character is genuinely safe to return except for Queen Latifah. To find out if their favorite couple survives, fans only need to watch the Season 4 finale.
What transpires in The Equalizer’s episode this week?
In the penultimate episode of The Equalizer this week, “The Big Take,” Berto Colon’s character Dante, a former con man, attacks a prison transport.
McCall sprints to take him out with the team. A woman squatting in their home throws Aunt Vi and Dee’s girls’ trip off course, and Harry (Adam Goldberg) jeopardizes his friendship with Mel (Liza Lapira) when Fisk (Donal Logue) draws him further into his covert mission.
And what about Dante and McCall’s growing relationship? Will things progress by the end of the season? When we discussed the will-they-won’t-they dance between the two characters with Marcus Dante’s actor Tory Kittles, he responded, “In episode 9, things come to a head for Dante and McCall.” It’s put up or shut up time.”
