Whether she likes it or not, Sharon is caught in a love triangle, so it is up to her where things go from here. It is possible that Sharon will become enraged with the growing rivalry and force it to stop.
Sharon has no business challenging Nick’s daughter for a man’s attention! Given that Sharon has experienced numerous adult relationship problems and real-world difficulties over the years, this plot seems too childish for her.
Summer and Chance behaving like high school sweethearts behind her back is not something Sharon should have to deal with, especially after losing a child and beating cancer. But this is the narrative that has been assigned to Sharon, so let us think about what she should do next.
Sharon might as well take a stand if the Y&R writers are determined to keep her in this romantic triangle.
Summer’s Surprising Discovery
What would happen if Sharon decided to ask Chance to move in with her? Chance may welcome a significant change in his personal life now that he is no longer employed by the GCPD and is enjoying his new beginning at Chancellor-Winters.
Chance might be pressured by Sharon to move in together and indicate that she is prepared to take their relationship seriously.
Sharon might let Chance know that she is prepared to move things along by sharing a house, just in case she has not been explicit about her feelings. Summer could get a surprise if Chance decides to move in with Sharon in the cottage.
Summer might come to believe that Sharon and Chance have a deeper romance than she initially believed.
Chance might begin to feel Summer’s withdrawal and wonder if their friendship is still genuine. If Sharon draws Chance in through their living situation, it might be detrimental to Chance and Summer’s relationship.
Or, to put it another way, perhaps Sharon will be the one to take the risk and throw this love triangle off balance for Summer!
