What happened to Valerie in Doctors? Who replaced her on the show?

Sarah Moyle is an English actress from London. She was born in London in 1969 and attended Middlesex University to study performance art. Moyle began her career in 1992 with roles in theatre.

Her debut performance was in Bob Carlton’s Lust at Theatre Royal Haymarket. Les Misérables, Oliver!, Jerusalem, and An Inspector Calls are some of Sarah’s previous theater productions.

Additionally, Moyle played Caroline Swann in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale on a recurring basis. Moyle took home the Best Comedic Performance trophy at the 2019 British Soap Awards for her portrayal of Valerie in the television series Doctors.

In the television series Doctors, Valerie is terribly concerned about the fallout from her choice to break into Al’s (Ian Midlane) workplace and forge a prescription so she could give an asthma medication to Hailey, the ill young daughter of a Mill patient (Caoimhe Farren).

The final episode of Doctors will air in December 2024, and the BBC says they are “working closely with BBC Studios to give it the finale it deserves.

Is Valerie Pitman leaving the Doctors?

Sarah Moyle plays the fictional character Valerie Pitman in the BBC soap opera Doctors. On October 15, 2012, Valerie made her debut as a temporary receptionist at the made-up Mill Health Centre.

In August 2022, Moyle announced that she was leaving Doctors, and the following month, she filmed her farewell scenes.

In Valerie’s exit story, it was revealed that she had faked Dr. Al Haskey’s signature in order to obtain a prescription for a sick patient, leading to her dismissal from the Mill.

She tells producers on the podcast about how, after informing them that she would be leaving in 2020, she asked if she could change her mind because of the pandemic.

Again, feeling privileged to be given a serious plot, Moyle felt uncomfortable filming the scenes because she was used to comedy scenes as Valerie.

After Karen (Jan Pearson) has recovered from her recent heart attack and Valerie (Sarah Moyle) has left, Kirsty Millar (Kiruna Stamell) rides into town to take over as the new receptionist.

When the podcast was recorded, Moyle stated that she did not have a job after leaving the show, but she still thought it was time to go.

Following her exit from Doctors, she appeared in an episode of the Britbox period series Sister Boniface Mysteries. After that, she performed in the theatrical production Jumping the Shark throughout the United Kingdom.
