At the forefront of this band of heroic mothers stands Frankie Coyne, a character as unpredictable as a toddler’s mood, whose journey from realtor to the heart of a different community appeals and confounds.
But who is Frankie, you ask? She’s the quirky soul with a heart bigger than her real estate portfolio, navigating the choppy waters of motherhood and career with a grace that’s all her own—except when it’s not.
Who is Frankie?
Juno Rinaldi plays Frankie Coyne, one of the two tritagonists in Workin’ Moms. Realtor Frankie was first married to Giselle Bois; following their divorce, they had a daughter called Rhoda.
She currently resides with her son Solomon Coyne, Bianca, Juniper, and her daughter Rhoda Bois. Actress Juno Rinaldi, née Ruddell, was born in Canada on May 14, 1977.
Her most well-known character is Frankie Coyne from Workin’ Moms, for which she was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award in 2021’s 9th Canadian Screen Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
What happened to Frankie on Workin Moms?
Workin’ Moms actress Juno Rinaldi, who portrayed Frankie, made the decision to leave the show. At the conclusion of series 5, her character was written out to take a job at a treatment facility.
In an Instagram post, Rinaldi revealed that she was leaving to pursue other career opportunities, specifically writing and producing.
It is commendable that Workin’ Moms did not sugarcoat Frankie’s postpartum depression in season one.
However, the show takes a rather strange turn when Frankie checks herself into a treatment facility. After receiving a job offer, Frankie performs so well that she considers working there.
Why would she do that, though? Since everyone hangs out in Toronto and at the mom-and-baby group, that would mean removing her from the show’s main setting.
This is one of the most bizarre storylines in Workin’ Moms. In season two, Frankie begins to date again after her divorce, but Dorothy (Angela Asher) is not the right fit for her.
In addition to moving in much earlier than is reasonable, Frankie also handles all of Dorothy’s errands. Then there are the eerie sequences in which Dorothy makes Frankie’s hair look like a poodle.
Everything is really strange and does not seem like the show. This was not the kind of Workin’ Moms storyline she deserved.
Even though Workin’ Moms features humorous supporting cast members, certain unmemorable episodes lack substance. Another storyline that does not do Frankie’s character justice appears in season 5.
She attempts to sell a house that has a terrible past but is unappealing to buyers. This plot has appeared in a number of TV series, and it does not feel particularly original or interesting at this point.
Frankie would have had more fun if she had come across a really strange house that nobody could figure out.

The Canadian sitcom Workin’ Moms debuted on CBC Television on January 10, 2017.

The creator, Catherine Reitman, declared on June 20, 2022, that pre-production had started on the seventh and final season, which was set to debut on January 3, 2023.
