Audra’s Tenuous Position at Newman Media
Breaking: It looks like Audra might be set up for failure on The Young and the Restless (Y&R). Audra is always plotting and appears to be the most intelligent person in the room, but eventually, she might end up by herself and without a job.
Fans of Y&R are aware that Audra serves as Newman Media’s COO, but that position is extremely precarious. Not only that, but Claire is growing on Nikki and seems eager to advance in the company, so Nikki does not really like Audra anyway.
Knowing that her job at Newman Media might not be permanent, Audra is prudently looking into other possibilities. Audra is not choosing wisely, regrettably, when it comes to her options! Although Audra, Tucker, and Kyle are now allies, their alliance does not seem to be going well.
To be honest, Tucker’s history with schemes is not very impressive. What makes Audra think that this time will be any different from the others since Tucker’s plans always seem to go wrong?
Kyle’s Loyalties in Question
All of this makes it difficult to think that Audra will become queen or that Tucker will be able to successfully usurp Jabot.
This is particularly true in light of Kyle’s admission in the episode airing on October 31 that, should Jack decide to change his mind, he would accept Billy’s job and abandon his Audra partnership.
It would not stop Kyle from doing that because of his partnership with Audra. All Kyle would have to do was make Audra an enemy and devise a plan to destroy her alongside Tucker. Since the dialogue seems to be hinting at Kyle turning Audra into an enemy, what happens then?
In particular, if Audra loses everything and reaches her lowest point, she might have to seek vengeance. Audra might lose her job at Newman Media and then her backup option at Jabot if this takeover plot falls through, which is a plausible scenario.
Naturally, whether she wants to acknowledge it or not, Audra is also deeply in love with Kyle. Audra may also lose her chance at love if Kyle and her are traveling through hostile territory.
Once Audra experiences this setback, her vindictive nature might surface, and she might feel the need to exact revenge on Kyle and anybody else she believes has wronged her.
