It appears that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are still unsure about their fifth child. After bringing their fourth child, Wren Alexander Stephens, into the world via surrogacy less than a year ago, the couple seems unable to decide if they would like to have more children.
Although the Grammy winner feels that their family, which also consists of children Luna, 7, Miles, 5, and Esti, 14 months, is complete, the author of Cravings hinted that having a fifth child is not completely out of the question.
At the 2024 Gala: Magic of Motown event held by City Harvest in New York City on Wednesday, April 10, Teigen, 38, revealed that she had relapsed into baby fever as soon as their 9-month-old son, Wren, began to walk.
However, when a reporter asked if they would have any more children, the 45-year-old star of The Voice yelled, “No!”
The EGOT winner acknowledged his reservations about life with four children, saying, “Oh, it is so good.” It’s just so much love in the house.”
“And that’s what it would be like if we had a fifth!” Teigen quipped, to which Legend once again said, “No!”
The mother of four donned a floor-length, animal print gown with long black bow ties at the shoulders for their date night out. She styled her hair in an updo and accessorized with gold bangles and a black clutch.
The singer of “All of You” wore a black shirt under a black suit jacket that was embellished with sequins.
John and Chrissy, who’ve been candid about their fertility journey, announced in August 2022 that they were expecting another baby after several rounds of IVF and experiencing pregnancy loss.
Six months after welcoming Esti in January 2023, the pair shared that Wren joined the family via surrogacy.
Although raising two children in a year required some adaptation, the family eventually found their rhythm. And that encompasses Miles and Luna’s roles as the older of two younger siblings.
In an interview, he said, “I think one of the hardest parts was just having the older kids adjust to not being the baby anymore, especially Miles.”
“Miles is used to being the baby for a while. So, he had to take some time to adjust, but I think he’s doing well with it now. It just took him a couple of months to adjust to that.”
