Singer Ntombi Mzolo’s three-year-old daughter, Linile, passed away in September 2021. Ntombi was surrounded by her closest friends and relatives as she bid adieu to her beloved.
A vehicle tragedy claimed Linile’s life in September 2021, unending her mother’s life. This is the second time Ntombi has had to lose a child.
Fans were sympathizing with Ntombi’s situation. People closest to her couldn’t find the right words to soothe the inconsolable mother.
What did Ntombi Mzolo have to say about the tragedy that struck her home?
As Ntombi bid her child farewell, she praised God for her daughter and for supporting her. Ntombi started her address by saying, “God is good all the time. After we lost Dunamis, Linile was the family’s ray of light, healing my heart and blessing our souls.
She had so much life. I want to thank God because he knew what we needed when he blessed us with Linile. I thank God that I got to spend the whole day with her on the day that she passed.
I thank God that I was there because that has allowed me to accept and allowed me to realise that nothing more could have been done. It was time.”
According to Ntombi, on Linile’s last day on the planet, they were devoted to one another, and Linile was always expressing her love for her mother.
She began, “She told me that she loved me and I knew… I knew that it was time,” and then she thanked God because Linile had waited for her father to show up before she was pronounced deceased.
What does Nomvelo, Linile’s older sister, have to say about her passing away?
Nomvelo, Linile’s older sister, talked about her heartbreak and how her younger sister had taught her a lot of things—almost as if she were the older one.
“Lini was there for me. She knew me the most, even though she was only here shortly. She knew everything about me—more than my parents, more than my cousins, and more than my friends.
She would play with me every single day; she would ask me to play dolls with her and I would say ‘No’ and she’d force me and I’d eventually go.
She was a loving kid. When I was down, she would bring me up and when I was sad, she made me smile.
When I cried, she’d make me laugh and Lini would make me laugh so hard that I wouldn’t even know what I was crying about,” she said.
How did Ntombi’s son die?
The year 2015 saw Ntombi lose her son Dunamis Sizwe Jr. Asande to hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a rare cardiac ailment.
Nomvelo expressed her belief that Linile was an angel sent to support her family in coping with the death of her late infant brother.
She started crying as she tried to explain that she didn’t think losing a brother and a sister was fair.
