Louis Tomlinson dispelled rumors on X, formerly known as Twitter, almost a decade ago, claiming he was or had ever been in a covert relationship with Harry Styles, his bandmate in One Direction.
Louis Tomlinson is tired of hearing whispers that he and his former bandmate Harry Styles are romantically involved.
Even though the two singers were close friends when they were in One Direction, some of their fans believed their relationship went deeper than that.
Since Tomlinson, 32, and Styles, 30, won the X Factor in 2010 alongside Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik, ushering in the boy band era, there has been conjecture that they were once romantically connected.
Regarding the Harry Styles conspiracy theories that have followed both celebrities since their One Direction days, Louis Tomlinson recently opened up about them.
“A few years ago, I realized that there is nothing I can do,” he stated in a recent interview with the Brazilian publication G1.
“There is nothing I can do to stop those who believe in this conspiracy. They are so connected to what they believe that they will not see the truth for what it is. I’m sure many people look at and find all these little conspiracies that happen in life interesting.”
Following Simon Cowell’s formation of One Direction on The X Factor in 2010, which also included Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne, Tomlinson and Styles became well-known.
The boy band went on to reach massive global success before going on hiatus in 2016. Every member has since focused on their solo music careers.
Tomlinson shares a son, born in January 2016, with his ex, Briana Jungwirth.
He has praised the “Watermelon Sugar” singer’s solo career in recent years, calling him “like a brother.” “I have a lot of pride in what he’s doing,” Tomlinson told The Telegraph in November 2022.
“Since Harry resembles a modern star, I do not find it surprising that he is the most financially successful. Not only does he perform music, but he also has films and has completed an incredible [stadium] tour.”
Despite the difficulties in their relationship, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are still friends.
There’s no denying that One Direction was beloved in its entirety, but naturally, fans still had their favorites. In an interview with The Guardian, Louis Tomlinson opened up about being an underdog in the group and what it felt like to be seen as “forgettable, to a certain degree.”
Every other bandmate seemed to have their own It factor, except for him. For example, Tomlinson described Harry Styles as someone who always came across as “very cool.”
