Real Time with Bill Maher 2023 schedule: Is Real Time with Bill Maher coming back, on June 10th?

Fanatics of the show might be pondering – is “Real Time with Bill Maher” a new episode anytime soon? There won’t be a new episode real soon no. The writers’ strike has put the show on hold, but repeats will continue to air until further notice.

Don’t panic, all is not lost. The talk/variety show “Real Time with Bill Maher,” that Maher hosts, has been on the air for nearly two decades and is not to go off air completely. HBO has already renewed the show for a second season through 2024. So don’t worry that Maher will leave the show at any point shortly even if the new episode dates are not confirmed.

On the most recent last episode, the top-of-the-show interview guest was Tesla co-founder and product architect Elon Musk, who is also the owner and CEO of Twitter.

He was followed by panelist Ian Bremmer, founder and president of Eurasia Group, and author of “The Power of Crisis: How the World Will Be Changed by Three Threats and Our Response”; what’s more, Konstantin Kisin, co-host of the YouTube show and digital broadcast “TRIGGERnometry” and creator of “An Outsider’s Adoration Letter toward the West.”

Real Time with Bill Maher, Writers’ strike

Since April 28, Real-Time has been inactive. Following the Writers Guild of America strike, Bill Maher and his crew ceased broadcasting. Real-Time went on pause like other late-night TV programs because it was without authors.

As writers strive for more pay and a fairer residual arrangement, the WGA strike is still ongoing. As a result, tonight’s installment of Real Time with Bill Maher won’t be fresh.

Instead, HBO will broadcast Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles at Bill Maher’s regularly scheduled hour of 10:00 p.m. ET.

When the strike will end?

There has been a constant stream of comforting TV shows. But this too can go short. To guarantee livable working conditions for its members, the Writers Guild of America said on May 1 that it had failed to reach an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

The WGA issued a global strike call on May 2 that covers writers for American TV and movies. The latest WGA strike, which lasted 100 days, was in 2007.

After-Dark ShowThe first genre to vanish is late night. These shows cannot have any episodes saved for later use since they must write on a very tight schedule to stay current.

Fans of Real Time with Bill Maher can still listen to his podcast.

When the WGA strike will end is a matter of debate. We may be looking at months until late-night TV and the rest of the entertainment business return to normal if the 2007-2008 strike is any indicator.

Alternative options

Fans of Real Time with Bill Maher still have access to the comedian up to that point. The “Club Random” podcast by Bill Maher continues to produce new episodes and upload segments on YouTube.

Maher recently had conversations with people including Dr. Phil, Kathy Gryphon, and David Spade. Maher and his guests might be perceived in a different light on the podcast than they usually are on Real Time. But regardless of the platform, the late-night TV personality still manages to elicit an emotional response from just about everyone who watches him.
