In addition, he has been in films with the names “Inconceivable,” “Widow Detective,” and “Beyond the Darkness.”

Vaughan graciously expressed his appreciation for the outstanding casting director Marnie Saitta, who was instrumental in securing the involvement of his “old friend and castmate,” Jason Gerhardt.

For a brief period this month, Jason Gerhardt, a well-known name to daytime viewers who most recently appeared on television as Cooper Barrett on General Hospital (but tragically unrelated to the renowned Brenda), fills Eric Brady’s shoes.
The changeover happened as a result of Greg Vaughan’s unavailability for sequences that fell during this period of the filming process.

Eric Brady’s origins may be traced back to 1984 when he was first played by a series of young performers. Roman and Marlena’s kid played this legendary role before being aged into an adolescent by the classic soap opera blockbuster “SORAS,” whereupon Jensen Ackles assumed the part in 1997.
Later, after Ackles left the DAYS OF OUR LIVES scene in 2000, the character’s presence stayed dormant until Greg Vaughan smoothly assumed Eric’s identity in 2012, giving this adored character new life.
It would be very challenging to write about Eric’s absence because he is now embroiled in a huge front-burner narrative involving Nicole, Sloan, unborn children, and falsified DNA testing. To fill in for Vaughan until he returns, expect Gerhardt to act out some dramatic moments.
