The Young And The Restless: 5 Favorites Who Are No More

The Young and the Restless has been premiering since 1973. There have been many sorrowful scenes, but none have caused as much emotion as the character’s death.

Fans have followed Genoa City as it has experienced the end of a well-known person throughout the years.

As the other characters give a loved one farewell, viewers mourn along with them. Here are five passing that brought everyone to tears.

Cassie Take Her Last Breath

Losing a child is painful for any parent, and Nick and Sharon Newman went through it in 2005. After taking a route to Daniel Romalotti’s home, their daughter Cassie Newman is hurt in a collision.

Even though Cassie’s injuries were too severe, Nick and Sharon lingered at her bedside, hoping for a miracle. As Cassie collapsed, the pair sobbed. It was difficult for fans, and the Grimes cast to witness Cassie take her last breath.

“I was being treated like I was going to die. I had grown up with these individuals,” said Cassie in an interview.

Heartfelt Remembrance of Kristoff St. John.

The passing of Kristoff St. John in February 2019 shocked the soap opera industry. Co-stars of St. John’s from The Young and the Restless swarmed social media with heartfelt remembrances of the actor. The actors had to say goodbye to St. John once more when the program killed off his character Neil Winters two months later.

Nate Hastings concluded that Neil had a stroke, which caused his death. Residents of Genoa City assemble to offer homage. To say farewell to his fictional sibling and close friend, Shemar Moore resumed his role as Malcolm Winters. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house throughout Devon Hamilton and Lily Winters’ eulogies.

Although John Abbott is no longer with us, he has still remembered

The beloved father of the Abbott family is John Abbott. He was a devoted father to his four children. When he wasn’t working hard to operate Jabot Cosmetics, the Young and the Restless decided to kill John in 2006 after 26 years on the program.

For the murder of Tom Fisher, Gloria Fisher’s ex-husband, John was incarcerated at the time. John suffered a stroke just before being let go, which put him in a coma.

The family opted to remove him from life support as there was little chance of recovery. Even though John is no longer with us, his ghost has come back to counsel his son Jack Abbott.

Bye, Bye To Genoa City’s elegant dame

The Young and Restless was centered around Katherine Chancellor. Genoa City citizens grew to see her as a friend and mentor. The last time Katherine appeared was May 3, 2013. Following brain surgery, Katherine bids Jill Abbott goodnight before ascending the stairs.

Cooper passed away at the age of 84, five days later. The Young and the Restless justified Katherine’s absence as being due to a trip she took with her husband, Patrick Murphy. When Murphy got home in August 2013, he told everyone that Katherine had passed away.

The performance featured a touching tribute befitting Genoa City’s great dame.

Delia Abbott Is No More

The death of Delia Abbott was one of the most heartbreaking stories in 2013, according to The Young and the Restless. As they mourned the loss of their daughter, who was murdered in a hit-and-run tragedy, Billy Abbott and Chloe Mitchell gave outstanding performances. After learning Adam Newman was the motorist who struck Delia, their sadness turned to rage.

The Young and the Restless have continued to focus heavily on Delia’s passing. Even though what transpired to Delia was an accident, Billy and Chloe have never forgiven Adam and sought revenge on him. The youngest Abbott brother has been escalating out of control recently, as seen by Billy’s fixation with Adam.
