The cast members of Home and Away often switch roles with one another. The iconic characters like Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker), and Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) aren’t going anywhere, but the younger cast doesn’t tend to stick around for long.
Upon arrival, most new cast members are offered a three-year contract; after that, it is up to the actor and producers to determine whether or not to extend. It follows that the constant influx of new faces in Summer Bay makes sense.
The show films approximately five to six months in advance, so some fans have noticed certain cast members have been absent from filming.
Felicity Newman is skipping the bay, which still seems extremely likely. The star hasn’t been spotted filming on set lately, with a security guard telling fans she has gone overseas.
“I heard from a fan earlier this month that someone went to Palm Beach today and was informed that she is currently abroad and uncertain about her return, suggesting that she is departing from the show.
“We don’t know if she was offered a new contract after her current one expired. Given that she has been working on other movies, she most likely did not want to sign another one.”
Another big name who is leaving Home and Away in 2024 is ‘James Stewart’.
Justin is only temporarily being written out of the show so the actor can compete on Dancing With the Stars.
As another actor is rushed off-set with an emergency, Nelson desperately needs to fill a small role. Nelson, who is about to give up, sees that Justin has the ideal build and begs him to intervene.
Star of Home and Away formally confirms death in filming plot
The cast of Home and Away, Matt Evans, has formally revealed that a character will die as part of the soap opera’s shooting plot.
With a preview clip hinting at the arrival of “a stranger in the Bay,” the show recently disclosed that there will be shooting in Summer Bay. Matt, who plays Theo Poulos in the show, assured viewers that there would be a death during an appearance on Australia’s The Morning Show.
“All I can say is that next week a stranger will come into the bay and someone will die.
Fans see a blurry figure on the beach with a black case in the most recent teaser video, and then they see locals running away. “I need an ambulance and police to Summer Bay,” Alf Stewart then declares, before police undertake a manhunt to catch the culprit.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45 pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6 pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30 pm on 5STAR. In the UK, Prime Video offers a selection of classic episodes.
In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7 pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.
