Pop icon Taylor Swift is a billionaire. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the “Bad Blood” artist has no financial difficulties.
But Swift reportedly turned down a lump sum of money so large that even Elon Musk would do a double take.
The famous rapper French Montana shared a screenshot of a chat he had with a promoter. Montana is given a $1 million performance fee in the screenshot.
Another person, whose name is blurred out, is offered to perform for $9 million in December.
In a recent interview with DJ Vlad and Vlad TV, Montana revealed that the mystery person was Taylor Swift.
Money is not an issue for Swift, she has standards and morals
Why Swift allegedly declined the offer is unknown. Numerous sites have reached out to her rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The pop singer was named a billionaire earlier this month, so money is not a barrier for her.
As per the reports, she is the most popular newcomer, and her record-breaking, five-continent Eras Tour is the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue.
“After accounting for the value of her music catalog, real estate holdings, and earnings from the successful tour, the pop star, 34, amassed an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion.”
Additionally, thanks only to her songs and performances, Swift became the “first musician to hit ten-figure status.”
Swift is currently on a short break from her record-breaking Eras Tour, which became the highest-grossing tour by any musician of all time, earning more than $1 billion, per Rolling Stone.
The tour will end in December with three consecutive performances in Vancouver. It is scheduled to resume in Paris on May 9.
Up until then, the singer of “Cruel Summer” has been enjoying some quality time with her beau, Travis Kelce, an NFL player who is currently enjoying his offseason following his 2024 Super Bowl victory.
On Twitter, fans supported Swift’s decision to the fullest. One of her followers commented, She doesn’t need that dirty money. She stands by what she believes! I have a ton of respect for this wonderful person!
The other added, And that’s why billions of folks love her. I know this surprises a vast population, but some people still have morals, integrity, and empathy.
