Lamon Archey, a “Days of Our Lives” audience favorite, is returning to Salem as Eli Grant, and viewers are ecstatic. However, he came back for Christmas and Juneteenth after leaving the program in 2022.

However, the real reason the character is back in action is to assist in the release of his kidnapped, amnesic father-in-law, Abe Carver.
Archey stated to Soap Opera Digest that his most recent assignment lasted about a month and that he had been filming for the soap for a few weeks. “It is always nice to come home and catch up with some of the people I worked with so hard every day.
Being there again with my ‘DAYS’ friends is never a bad time, he said. Archey even acknowledged that he would be prepared for a return visit to the sudser.
If ‘DAYS’ calls and I am free, I am always willing to answer and see what the storyline is about, see if it is something I am interested in, and come back for a visit, he said.

Lamon claims that he was asked to return to Days of Our Lives after getting a call from the casting director, Marnie Saitta, according to the most recent issue of Soap Opera Digest.
She contacted my manager and asked if I could come in and help with the plot they were working on, he said, adding, “She got in touch with my manager. At the time, I was free from commitments.
Lamon continued by saying that the timing could not have been better because All American, his other show, had just finished filming.
In his statement, he said, “It was picked up for season six, but with the writers’ strike and everything else going on right now, it is kind of unclear when filming will resume. You can never predict the weather.”
When season two ended, I was not sure if I would return for season three, and when season four was over, I was not sure if I would return for season five.
I do not learn anything about it until they call me and say, “Hey, we want to bring your character back.” We are entering season six, and I have been there since the end of season two, so I can say with certainty that I have a positive outlook.
What Next for Eli on Days of Our Lives?
Lamon stated that fans can anticipate seeing Eli for a month to two when asked how long he will be present. In terms of my job, I never really know when it will air on television, but I know I was there [for a few weeks of filming],” he continued.
