A budding actor claimed that after visiting Spacey's London residence and drinking and either dozing off or passing out, he woke up to the actor having oral sex on him.

Three of the guys, according to defense attorney Patrick Gibbs, were lying, and situations had been "reimagined with a nefarious twist."

There were nine charges against Spacey, including several instances of sexual assault and one allegation of encouraging forced penetrative intercourse.

On July 20, Patrick Gibbs, Mr. Spacey's attorney said that three of the charges were dishonest and that they were only leveled in an effort to obtain financial advantage.

About six years after Mr. Spacey's alleged wrongdoing first came to light on both sides of the Atlantic, a jury at Southwark Crown Court in London needed only over 12 hours to decide

Mr. Spacey, 64, was in a clear box in the middle of the courtroom as the findings were read, standing in front of the jury with a neutral expression.

But after hearing the final verdict of "not guilty," the actor, whose birthday is on Wednesday, started to cry and exhaled in relief.
