She became the first unseeded woman at the All England Club in 60 years to even make it to the final.

In both sets, Vondrousova was behind but won the final four games of the first and the last three matches of the second.

She just won her first Grand Slam championship. In the 2019 French Open final, she suffered a defeat as a teen.

She won 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday, beating 2022's runner-up Ons Jabeur.

Jabeur lost the main finals, falling to 0-3. The Tunisian lady is the only female who hails from North or Arab countries who got so far in a singles match at a Grand Slam match.

However, at the All England Club and the U.S. Open, respectively, she fell short to Elena Rybakina and No. 1 Iga Swiatek.

Vondrousova, a left-handed pitcher from the Czech Republic who is 24 years old, is currently ranked 42nd.

Because of her injury, Vondrousova missed the months of April through October and concluded the year 2022 by placing just 99th. That’s why her recent victory was unthinkable.
