In Wednesday’s (September 18) episode of EastEnders, viewers were glued to their seats as Clay Milner Russell’s character, Bobby Beale, suffered heartbreak. The drama started when Bobby discovered his best friend, Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), kissing his girlfriend, Anna Knight (played by Molly Rainford).
The tension escalated into a public showdown at the market where Bobby dropped the bombshell about Anna’s pregnancy just as Freddie attempted to downplay the incident, insisting, “It was only a kiss.”
Bobby became so enraged that he got into a physical fight with Freddie until James Bye’s character Martin Fowler intervened. Bobby was devastated when Anna interrupted Louie’s ninth birthday celebration at the Beale home and announced that she had decided to end her pregnancy.
Stepping up, Michelle Collins’s character Cindy Beale warned Anna to stay away from Bobby and gave her daughter some harsh advice.
Cindy insisted that what she was doing was in Bobby and Anna’s best interests, even though she had previously disapproved of their relationship. After Anna ended their relationship with Bobby in the episode, the fan base was shocked and began to speculate that Bobby might take revenge on Freddie.
Is Bobby Beale leaving EastEnders?
Yes, he has left the show, but it is possible we can see the character again.
EastEnders fans were left teary-eyed as Bobby Beale, played by Clay Milner-Russell, made a heartbreaking exit on Thursday (September 19) evening. Nevertheless, viewers with keen eyes are certain he will return after spotting a crucial hint.
“I love how Bobby almost [pulled] a Lucy Beale on Freddie #Eastenders,” wrote a devoted fan on social media.
One fan enthusiastically posted, “Give Bobby a hockey stick and let him cave Freddy’s skull in for some proper EastEnders drama,” remembering Bobby’s history of violence.
Is Bobby Beale leaving EastEnders for good?
It was confirmed in April that Bobby would be leaving the soap, with actor Clay Milner Russell pursuing other acting roles outside of the soap.
In a statement, a spokesperson from EastEnders said: “We can confirm that Clay will be leaving EastEnders later on this year, and we wish him the best for the future.”
Bobby leaves alive and well. Considering the Beales’ regal status in soap operas, it is always that the character can return in the future.
