At the conclusion of season five, Maritza and Blanca were split up. In season seven, it is revealed that Ramos is out of jail and in New York City on probation.
Nevertheless, she chooses to go out to pubs and clubs without an ID rather than staying indoors. She meets a basketball player and becomes enamored with him; he invites her to visit him in Los Angeles.
Ramos is taken into custody after an ICE raid at a bar, preventing her from acting on her promise (despite the fact that doing so would violate her probation). Martiza is apprehended by law enforcement during an ICE operation at a bar.
Ramos asserts that she is an American citizen and that everything is a huge error. She finds herself back with Flaca while attempting to obtain her birth certificate from her divorced mother.

She eventually becomes the center of attention, and as a result, she is taken by guards in the middle of the night and deported back to Colombia.
At the conclusion of “OITNB”‘s fifth episode of season seven, Maritza vanishes without warning. At the conclusion of the episode, we witness her being deported from the US.
