Emmerdale is a British soap opera that appears on ITV. The show is set in Emmerdale, a fictional village in the Yorkshire Dales.
The program began broadcasting on October 10, 2011, and in 2016, Emmerdale won the award for Best British Soap at the British Soap Awards for the first time. ITV3 has been airing “classic episodes” of Emmerdale twice a day since January 2019.
Chas Dingle of Emmerdale provides an update on cancer treatment.
In a recent storyline, Lucy Pargeter’s character Chas Dingle on Emmerdale was revealed to have breast cancer. This news caused fans to worry that Pargeter might be leaving the ITV soap opera.
This comes after her on-screen mom, Faith Dingle (played by Sally Dexter), left the show during a special Super Soap Week focused on the Dingles.
After Chas’s treatment, the storyline has been put on hold. However, Lucy has given fans hope regarding her future on the show by declaring that she has no intention of leaving Emmerdale and that the bosses would have to “dragged kicking and screaming” if they ever wanted her to go.
“Even if they were to write me out, they would still have to drag me screaming and kicking! I do not think I will ever decide to leave myself! In an interview, she declared, “I will stay as long as they will have me because I love my job.”
Later on, she revealed that the doctors had called it a “superficial” tumor and that they had told her she was “lucky” to have caught it early.
Is Chas leaving Emmerdale?
Chas says she is leaving Emmerdale to get back together with a legendary character.
Chas Dingle informed her family that she was moving out of the village. Chas decided to wear prostheses for the first time after undergoing a double mastectomy.
Everything was going smoothly until Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) showed up and managed to completely ruin things, in typical Kerry fashion. She was quick to comment on Chas’ new look, and though she intended to compliment her, it left Chas feeling more uncomfortable than ever.
Chas, determined not to let it break her, then spoke passionately about how her body was proud of everything it had survived and that there was much more to her than the size of her breasts.
Further proving her point, Chas swiftly removed her prostheses and let it be known that this was who she was, and she was proud of it.
