Aaron Korsh is the creator and writer of the American legal drama television program The Suits. Produced by Universal Content Productions, it made its television debut on the USA Network on June 23, 2011.
It is based on a fictitious New York City law firm and centers on Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a college dropout and non-law school graduate who talks his way into a position as an associate working for renowned attorney Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht).
Suits’ main plot revolves around Harvey and Mike’s legal prowess and their capacity to resolve disputes while maintaining Mike’s secrecy.
It also stars Meghan Markle as the aspirational paralegal Rachel Zane, Rick Hoffman as the neurotic lawyer Louis Litt with expertise in financial law, Sarah Rafferty as Harvey’s legal secretary and confidante Donna Paulsen, and Gina Torres as Jessica Pearson, the managing partner of the firm.
We thought Mike Ross’ story was over
Meghan and Patrick’s characters, Mike Ross and Rachel Zane, moved up their wedding day and eventually said “I do” after Season 7, which aired in April 2018, a month before Meghan’s royal wedding to Harry, after accepting job offers in Seattle that were too good to pass up.
We believed that their series’ story had come to an end at that point.
Did Patrick Mike come back to Suits?
Yes, of course, he returned. After Season 7, Meghan may have said goodbye to the television series Suits, but so did her co-star Patrick J. Adams, who plays Mike Ross. However, he was unable to disappear for too long.
For the upcoming ninth season of the program, the handsome actor will return as Mike Ross, appearing specifically as a guest star in Episode 5.

Aaron Korsh, the show’s creator, told Deadline that there was never any doubt in his mind about wanting Patrick to return for this season. “He is the foundation of the show; it was built on him, others also, but the very foundation we built on Patrick and Mike, and we all wanted to have him back.

Then I had to make sure he had the time and the ability to do it, he continued. He just became a parent. I dialed his number once we decided on what it would be. I visited him at his house, and he showed me his amazing olive grove. We went out to dinner, and we talked about it. He was very enthusiastic when I described the plan we had. Then we carried it out.
Patrick also lamented the loss of Suits. I could not be more thrilled to be a part of Suits’ last chapter, Patrick exclaimed.
“I look forward to seeing what kind of trouble Mike Ross can stir up at the firm one last time. I have missed my TV family.”
