On Season 3 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé, Loren and Alexei Brovarnik quickly won over the audience’s affection. The two, who are both now 31 years old, first connected while Loren, a New Yorker who now resides in Florida with Alexei, was on a Birthright tour to Israel. Her tour group’s medic, Alexei, connected right away and fell in love.
In their relationship, Alexei and Loren did not experience many significant disagreements. However, Loren’s diagnosis of Tourette’s syndrome, which she made public on the show after being harassed by viewers for her symptoms, caused some friction between the happy couple.
Loren’s struggle with Tourette’s syndrome
While explaining why she is “relapsing hard” into postpartum depression and how it is happening, 90 Day Fiancé star Loren Brovarnik started crying. They welcomed their third child in September 2022, which was born to Loren and Alexei Brovarnik.
Loren is a stay-at-home mother by profession. She has had Tourette’s syndrome since she was a young child. In addition to talking about postpartum depression, Loren has been open and honest about her struggles. She first opened up when her second baby, born in August 2021, was in the NICU for days after his birth.
The Brovarniks’ newborn son was adorable and in good health.
A little while ago, the Brovarniks brought their new baby home. Shai, who is named after the Hebrew word for “gift” and was born on April 14 as opposed to May as they had initially anticipated, was a little early.
According to In Touch Weekly, he just celebrated his one-month birthday. Instagram has been flooded with images of Loren and Alexei’s adorable new baby boy, which has made them giddy with joy.
Even so, Loren and Alexei have not been immune to cyberbullying, like many other 90-Day Fiancé cast members—even regarding their adorable baby boy. According to The Blast, Loren recently revealed on her Instagram stories a heartless and cruel direct message she received from a viewer.
The possibility that their child would develop Tourette’s syndrome
To talk about their baby’s health and get an ultrasound, Alexei went with Loren to the ob/gyn appointment. The physician told the parents-to-be that their baby was in the 43rd percentile and seemed to be growing at a typical rate.
At the 20-week mark of Loren’s pregnancy, the couple inquired anxiously about the results of a recent battery of tests.
But there was good news for the 90-Day Fiancé couple. Their doctor informed them that all of the tests for neurological issues, Down syndrome, and the baby’s chromosomes were normal.
Loren also mentioned that she has been diagnosed with Tourette’s. She ventured hesitantly, “So, you know I have Tourette’s syndrome.” Is it possible to find out right away? Is there genetic testing?” she wanted to know.
She was told by the doctor that she would not be able to learn if Tourette’s syndrome was a possibility while she was pregnant. It was clarified to him that there is no genetic testing for Tourette’s syndrome. Between the ages of three and nine is when you can start to notice the first symptoms.
What did the couple say?
The expectant mother appeared to be much more at ease with and confident about her baby’s future, despite her earlier worries and self-consciousness regarding Tourette’s syndrome. “We’ll wait and see,” she said.
Alexei also seemed to have changed his perspective on the matter; he came across as more composed than he had in the couple’s earlier appearances on the show. “We’re not going to stress about it too much,” he agreed.
