Jordan was allegedly abused by his stepmother and father, who made him wear a diaper and sleep in a small closet beneath the stairs.
Bleimeyer, who was six months pregnant at the time, removed Jordan from the house and refused to return when police arrived.
Scroll down to read what happened to Tammi Bleimeyer (biological mother of Jordan Bleimeyer) and her husband. During Tammi’s trial, one of her biological sons testified against her.
“I’m up here to ask a rhetorical question of how, how could you put your children through all that? The people who should be your pride and joy. You made me feel sad, angry, confused, and empty.
What happened to the boy under the stairs?
A woman in the United States who starved her five-year-old stepson and kept him locked inside a closet under a staircase has been sentenced to spend 28 years in jail.
Tammi Bleimeyer, 37, was initially arrested by police in the Texas town of Spring, north of Houston, in 2015 after officers discovered the boy inside a home.
Jordan Bleimeyer, the boy, weighed only 13 kilograms at the time and had severe starvation, bruising, and scratches.
“In February 2015, our office worked on one of the most horrific child abuse cases,” Mark Herman, a Harris County constable, said in a post on social media.
“The child was rescued by constables and taken into the care of Children Protective Services.”
Police had also been alerted to the shocking case of child abuse a year before, when Jordan’s 16-year-old stepbrother called authorities in 2014, according to local media.
Detectives were told Jordan was locked in the closet and was not given food; however, when police arrived at Bleimeyer’s home, they were unable to locate him.
Deputies later tracked down mobile phone records at a nearby motel, where it was suspected the woman had transported Jordan in an attempt to evade police.
Her husband, Bradley Bleimeyer, 29, was previously sentenced to 15 years in prison in a plea deal for his role in the neglect, starvation, and physical assaults, which included electrical shocks from a Taser.
Sending both parents to jail ended a child abuse case that shocked Houstonians who saw photos of the emaciated and hollow-eyed 5-year-old, his bones visible through his skin.
Where is Jordan Bleimeyer?
Jordan has since been reunited with his biological mother, Wendy Hall, and CPS has taken custody of Bleimeyer’s remaining children.
Her newborn was placed in foster care. Bleimeyer burst into tears in the Harris County Courthouse in Spring, Texas, after the verdict was announced and two of her biological sons testified.
