On October 9, Sharon Rachel Osbourne was born. She is a British-American novelist, music manager, and television personality.
She rose to fame while participating in The Osbournes, an MTV reality series that tracked the daily activities of her family.
She is married to the heavy metal singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne. Later, Osbourne started judging talent competitions on television programs, including The X Factor and America’s Got Talent.
Early life
The daughter of rock and roll businessman Don Arden and his wife Hope, Sharon Rachel Levy, was born on October 9, 1952, in London, United Kingdom. David is her brother. Her father was an Ashkenazi Jew, while her mother was Irish.
Osbourne admitted that she grew up in a violent environment and that seeing her father threaten people or brandish a gun was commonplace.
Ozzy Osbourne’s father, the band’s manager, kicked him out of Black Sabbath. In 1979, Levy started dating Ozzy and took over the management of the Arden organisation for him.
Levy assisted Ozzy with the beginning of what would eventually be a successful solo career and oversaw hiring a supporting band to produce the Blizzard of Ozz album.
Arden was angry with his daughter for managing Ozzy’s career and dating him. In her autobiography, Ozzy Osbourne describes how he once threatened to kill her, robbed her, and told Ozzy that she had tried to seduce him to make Ozzy hate her.
Her father and she quickly fell out of touch, and it was 20 years before they finally spoke. She stated that her father has never seen her children, and “he never will” in an interview from 2001.
What happened to Sharon Osbourne on the Talk?
Sharon Osbourne was fired from the Talk show. Osbourne addressed her termination from the CBS daytime talk show The Talk in March 2021, which followed her steadfast advocacy of contentious remarks made by Piers Morgan regarding Meghan Markle during an interview.
“I’ve worked in this sector for almost 55 years”, according to Osbourne. She finds it unjust for her to be fired just like that.
The internal investigation also turned up claims made by former co-hosts of The Talk, Holly Robinson-Peete and Leah Remini, who claimed Osbourne routinely used racially charged language when referring to presenter Julie Chen Moonves. Robinson-Peete claimed Osbourne labelled her “too ghetto” for the chat program.
In a statement to E! News, Osbourne’s representative Howard Bragman said, “The only thing worse than a disgruntled former employee is a disgruntled former talk show host.” Osbourne has disputed all of the accusations brought against her.
Her relationship
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have developed the ability to “accept” their flaws. Ozzy, 74, and the 70-year-old TV personality have been wed since 1982. Still, Sharon acknowledges that their union has had many ups and downs over the years.
When Don Arden, the father of Sharon, was Ozzy’s band Black Sabbath’s manager, the two met for the first time 52 years ago.
Ozzy, 73, spent three months drinking and doing drugs after being sacked from the band in 1979 due to substance addiction problems. Sharon, 69, then assisted him in getting back on his feet.
