The 15-Year-Old Brother of Olivia Plath Dies in a Cycling Accident
Olivia Plath is in mourning for her brother, who was fifteen years old. Micah Meggs, the younger brother of the Welcome to Plathville wife, was riding an electric bike in Franklin County, Virginia, when he was hit by a car.
Plath, 25, who is married to Ethan Plath, has not publicly commented on her brother’s death, she said she’d be taking a social media break following “a family death.
Meggs’ obituary speaks of some of the 15-year-old’s hobbies and best qualities. “Micah enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, and trapping.
He delighted in showing off his awards and creating instructional videos to show others how to live the life he loved.
The obituary continued by saying that Micah had cerebral palsy his entire life, which prevented him from doing the things he loved so much because of an injury to his brachial plexus at birth.

Olivia Plath, who lost her 15-year-old brother Micah Meggs less than a month ago, is reflecting on his legacy.
“I’ve rewritten this a few times because somehow I have no words, even though inside of me is a vortex of every emotion possible,” the Welcome to Plathville star, 25, wrote via Instagram on Friday, May 19, marking her first post since her sibling’s passing.
I don’t think you realized how much we love you, but you deserved so much. I will eagerly miss your laugh.”
Plath continued, “I had not been allowed to see my younger brother Micah for several years because, as an adult, I have chosen a nonreligious, different life path than my parents.”
I keep thinking about all the memories we were unable to make together and how I missed out on the last years of his life.”
What Caused Micah Meggs’s Demise?
According to the Franklin County medical examiner, Meggs died from blunt force injuries to his head, neck, and torso, which she confirmed to In Touch. His death was declared an accident at the time.
Meggs was riding an electric bicycle in the right-hand southbound lane of Route 220 when he was struck by a 2005 Honda Accord traveling south. The Honda’s driver was not hurt in the collision.
