Who are the current members of Blackpink?
Only Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rose could have made BLACKPINK the success that it is. With an equal number of rappers and singers, the quartet perfectly balances one another.
However, remember how we said that BLACKPINK was meant to consist of one extra member? Before making their public debut, BLACKPINK consisted of five members, plus Cho Miyeon, who is presently a member of another bunch of girls known as (G)I-DLE.
According to several local media stories, Yang Hyunsuk of YG originally intended to create a girl group consisting of nine members. But Cho Miyeon and the current BP members quickly made up the last five on the list. However, Miyeon was not a member of the group when her final debut announcement was made.
What happened to Miyeon from Blackpink?
Miyeon was removed from the band by YG following a dating scandal. According to some reports, Cho Miyeon was positioned in the middle and served as BLACKPINK’s central figure.
Before fate laid out some other plans for her, she had a tight relationship with the other members.
Fans have also brought attention to the lovely and painful fact that BLACKPINK consistently makes room for Miyeon during their formation.
Cho Miyeon and Jennie both joined YG at roughly the same time. The ambitious idol trained under BLACKPINK members for five years as a trainee.
She was on the initial roster and was supposed to make her debut despite the downsizing. But six months before her premiere, she was implicated in a dating scandal; YG observed her in Japan with trainee alumni and promptly requested that she quit the firm permanently.
What did Miyeon do after she was tossed out of Blackpink?
Following her release from YG, Miyeon joined Cube Entertainment, where she became a part of (G)I-DLE with Jeon Soyeon, Soojin, Yuqi, Minnie, and Shuhua, among other brilliant members.
All is well that ends well, and since fans are so enamoured with both BLACKPINK and (G)I-DLE, they are confident that the current lineup is the ideal fit for the idols.
