What happened to Josh’s sister on Love Island?
His older sister (Lindsey) has passed away, and her cause of death has not been revealed yet.
Love Island USA favorite Josh Goldstein quit the villa with his girlfriend Shannon St. Claire after his sister’s death. While breaking the news of his sister’s death to his fellow islanders, Josh remembered Lindsey as an “unbelievable person.”
He broke down as he said how much his sister meant to him, explaining that his sister was the reason he came to Love Island, where he found “the love of his life, Shannon.
It was then revealed that Josh and Shannon would leave the villa together to be with his family at this difficult time.
The local coroner’s office in Lindsey’s native Massachusetts exclusively said that her cause of death is still unknown, and authorities have ordered further toxicology testing.
‘We’re Just Mourning Right Now’
Love Island contestant Josh Goldstein is back home following the death of his sister. Josh shared an update on social media after the pair made it to Massachusetts.
We wanted to inform everyone that we have made our way back to Massachusetts. The 24-year-old Josh said, “We are home with my family.”
“We would like to express our gratitude to everyone for their support not only during the show but also during this difficult time as we dealt with my sister’s passing.
Although the past few days have been hectic, we have returned, are with family, and are just mourning right now,” he continued. “We appreciate all the well-wishes and all the support. It means a lot.”
Josh continued by saying that he could tell “it brought my sister joy” to see his increasing bond with 24-year-old Shannon.
Shannon, who has been coupled up with Josh since day one, also reflected on how the couple owed a debt of gratitude to Josh’s sister.
Where was Love Island, USA, filmed?
For this series, Love Island USA was filmed in a hotel in Las Vegas that was secured against COVID-19. Last year’s Love Island USA was filmed in Fiji.
