What happened to Josh’s sister from Love Island?
Josh’s sister unexpectedly passed away.
Josh Goldstein applied to compete on “Love Island” at the encouragement of his elder sister Lindsey.
Josh informed his fellow islanders that he was leaving the villa because of Lindsey’s untimely death. Josh took Shannon St. Clair with him, whom they had been dating since the first episode.
Islanders are kept cut off from the outside world and are not allowed to use the internet or cell phones. Josh received the heartbreaking news from “Love Island” producers.
How did Josh’s sister die?
The cause of Lindsey’s passing is still unknown.
The 27-year-old native of Massachusetts was employed by the Department of Children and Families in Massachusetts.
She worked as an investigator on cases of neglect and abuse of children. Furthermore, she was a licensed social worker and holds a master’s degree in criminology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. In his final episode of “Love Island,” Josh described Lindsey as “an incredible person.”
In an interview, Lindsey talked about how she saw her brother’s resemblance to a past contestant and encouraged him to apply for the show. Lynn, Josh’s mother, continued, “Our family is very close. We enjoy each other’s company and do a lot of things together.
Lindsey planned to marry her fiance, Paul Groton, in October 2022. The couple had created a wedding website that listed Zorino Vineyards in Sandown, New Hampshire, as their wedding venue.
Fans have been expressing their support.
Josh has received encouragement from “Love Island” viewers on social media, particularly in the comments section of an Instagram picture of Josh with Lindsey and his mother. “So sorry for your loss! Loved watching you and Shannon’s relationship grow.
I’m sure your sister is very proud of you,” one Instagram user commented.
According to some fans, Josh and Shannon should not be eliminated from the series. They were one of the strongest couples on the show. On Twitter, a fan wrote, “Petition for Love Island to include Josh and Shannon in the finals, they were going to win.”
The official “Love Island USA” Twitter account also tweeted their support for Josh and his family.
