The fact that jazz legend Harry Connick Jr. is portraying a rock star in the brand-new Netflix original romantic comedy “Find Me Falling” might seem strange to some viewers.
In an interview, he said, “I grew up in New Orleans, where we played all sorts of stuff. Connick stated, “I have played in rock bands and recorded rock and roll songs for albums.
It is customary in New Orleans to perform a variety of genres. So it felt comfortable and wasn’t too much of a stretch. From a musical standpoint, it felt natural, even though I realize that for people who know me only for that, it is a whole other world.”

Connick plays struggling rock star John Allman in the latter stages of his career in the film ‘Find Me Falling’.
After the failure of his planned comeback album, Allman leaves the United States in search of what he believes to be a simpler life on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus.
The house John moves into in Find Me Falling was modeled after Carl and Ellie Fredricksen’s home in the Pixar classic Up, which is eventually buried in Paradise Falls.
The film was shot on location in Cyprus. Connick claimed that the setting in Cyprus, where Find Me Falling was filmed, was more breathtaking than he could have imagined.
I had no prior knowledge of Cyprus, so I read the script and made up scenarios for what I thought would happen. I wanted to learn about and appreciate the island, so I watched a movie about it,” Connick remarked.
He continued, “And it is not far off that cliff.” “The house was ideal, but the cliff is extremely high and jagged. Arriving at work every day was such a treat. I felt guilty about existing in that world.”
