Caleb Willingham, also known as “Killa K” or “Double K,” was in a state of separation from his wife before his passing at the age of 40.
The TLC program revolves around Amy and Tammy Slaton, two sisters who weigh more than 1,000 pounds combined. The show captures the dramatic moments as they strive to shed weight through various endeavors.
The initial encounter between Willingham and Tammy Slaton occurred during their simultaneous 14-month stint in a rehabilitation center.
Tammy was seeking weight reduction in preparation for bariatric surgery, while Caleb was undergoing treatment for obesity-related issues at the same facility.
What happened to Caleb Willingham?
Although his autopsy results have not been made public, “all indications showed a natural death caused by a medical issue,” according to a police report obtained by Radar Online.
Officials concluded the investigation after finding “no signs of criminal activity or foul play.”
The report stated that the first responders were with Caleb when he lost consciousness. Paramedics performed CPR on the scene but were unable to save his life.
Caleb’s death was “turned over” to the Sandusky County Coroner’s Office after emergency personnel were unable to contact his physician at the time of death, according to the report.
“I have always been a bigger guy, and that is because I have always had a sweet tooth,” Caleb admitted during a confessional on the show, adding that sugary foods have “always been a weakness, especially in times of stress.”
He said he began putting on weight after his mother died when he was 17.
Caleb lost over 200 pounds in rehab and weighed around 480 pounds in early 2023.
