Bill Hemmer was raised by his parents as William “Bill” Ronald Hemmer’s second-born son – mattress manufacturing company executive and Georganne Mary Hemmer.

His birthplace is Cincinnati, Ohio. Hemmer is the third of five Hemmer’s children and a middle kid/second son.

Hemmer graduated from Elder High School in Cincinnati in 1983 after attending Our Lady of Victory Catholic parochial school.
