Aaron Jones of the Green Bay Packers looked powerful against the Chicago Bears today, but the running back had to leave Sunday’s game due to an injury.
What has happened to Jones, what does the future hold for him, and how would Green Bay replace him if he were to miss a significant amount of time?
Who is Aaron Jones?
Aaron LaRae Jones, a wide receiver who plays for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL), was welcomed to the Earth on December 2, 1994.
Jones was born in Savannah, Georgia, to career US Army non-commissioned officers Burgess and Alvin Jones Sr. Jones admired Tyrod Taylor, Percy Harvin, and Emmitt Smith when he was younger.
Due to their parents’ assignments, he, his sister Chelsirae, his twin brother Alvin Jr., and older brother Xavier. frequently migrated, settled in Virginia, Germany, Tennessee, Kentucky, and the city of El Paso.
Jones joined in and played secondary school football for Burges Secondary School in El Paso, Texas. His dad resigned before his senior year and began a showcasing organization to kick off the selection system for his children.
Jones participated in nine games as a freshman. He produced two rushing touchdowns and 11 carries for 127 yards in his collegiate debut against New Mexico.
Jones simply played in two games as a junior because of experiencing a lower leg injury right off the bat in the season.
On the year, he wrapped up with one rushing score, 209 rushing yards, 106 getting yards, and one receiving score. 91 of those came on the longest hurrying play in school history against Texas Tech.
What happened to Aaron Jones?
Packers running back Aaron Jones experienced a knee injury due to which he had to leave Sunday’s game versus the Seahawks in the second last quarter and could not return.
Jones was handled by different Seahawks protectors on a 6-yard rush toward the finish of the second from last quarter. He remained on the ground and was seen holding his right knee after the play. He was offered the field by two clinical staff members.
Jones reportedly informed his teammates he wasn’t gravely hurt before leaving the field and entering the blue medical tent, according to the broadcast.
Green Bay’s medical staff continued to stretch him out on the sidelines, though, and the team later stated Jones’ comeback was uncertain due to a hamstring injury.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Packers think Jones sprained his MCL. The report has not been verified by the group. Jones had seven carries for 25 yards and four receptions for 61 yards before the injury.
The Packers went to individual running back AJ Dillon with Jones sidelined. He got done with 13 conveys for only 19 yards.
Green Bay was driving the Bears by 17 with 13 minutes remaining in the final quarter when Jones went down, so the club probably won’t have had any motivation to bring Jones back and hazard his well-being.
