Briton Zoe Louise Ball works as a presenter and broadcaster. She was the first female host of the BBC’s breakfast shows on Radio 1 and Radio 2.

The BBC Radio 2 host has announced that she will be stepping back from her breakfast show after receiving some heartbreaking family news.
On Instagram, Ball shared two pictures: one of her mother getting chemotherapy and the other of her with her family.
She shared in a lengthy caption: “Heartbreakingly, our beautiful Mumma Julia, has been diagnosed with cancer. As many of you know from experience, these are callous times.
My sibling Jamie and I are utterly amazed by the exceptional physicians, nurses, and support staff tending to Mom.
Thank you. ” We appreciate our friends, family, and extended family for their support during this difficult time.
Fans rushed to wish her well and urged her to enjoy her time off from the radio show. “Have a great time, we will miss you x,” one user commented. “Enjoy your time away,” another wrote.
The replacement for Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2 is revealed
Following her announcement that she would be taking a leave of absence due to her mother’s cancer diagnosis, presenter Zoe Ball’s replacement for her Radio 2 show has been made public.
She also took the time to thank her friend Gaby Roslin for stepping in for her in recent weeks and suggested that the presenter, 59, would be covering her future shifts too.
Zoe announced her break on social media and thanked Gaby for filling in at the end of her post. Lots of love.’

Ball planned to return to her Radio 2 show on Thursday, March 7, but her mother’s worsening cancer has caused a delay.
“I make every effort to attend breakfast whenever possible, but there are moments when I need to spend time with my mother,” she clarified.
It remains unclear when she will return to the airwaves.
