NFL superstar Davante Adams could be leaving the Las Vegas Raiders.
The 31-year-old veteran wideout has insisted he’s happy in silver and black despite going 14-20 in two years in Sin City.
But in recent weeks, rumors of a potential transfer have intensified, and Boomer Esiason, who left CBS Sports in May after 26 years, has offered a possible timeline.
“I’m hearing this is going to happen, if it happens at all, sometime in late August or early September.
“I’m not sure why it would take so long. Davante will never declare that he wants to quit the Raiders. However, you have heard the wide receiver on that show say, “I need to get out of here before I get killed.”

Is Davante Adams leaving the Raiders?
It is believed that Davante will leave the Raiders for the Jets.
After a blockbuster trade that saw the Raiders acquire Davante Adams from the Green Bay Packers in 2022, the player inked a five-year, $140 million contract extension with the team.
The contract runs through the 2026 season and has an average annual value of $28,000,000. It also came with a $19,250,000 signing bonus and $22,750,000 guaranteed.
However, ever since his first year in Las Vegas, there have been rumors about a potential exit for the receiver.
Things got worse after Derek Carr, Adams’s close friend and former college teammate, was cut by the Raiders. Moreover, after the New York Jets traded for Aaron Rodgers, all signs pointed to the AFC East franchise making a move for Adams.
Unfortunately, Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1 last year, and a move to trade for Adams didn’t make sense for the Jets.
But there has been a lot of speculation this offseason that the 31-year-old wide receiver will soon sign a contract to play for the Jets.
The Jets’ four main receivers are Mike Williams, Malachi Corley, Allen Lazard, and Garrett Wilson. If the team does wind up acquiring Adams, it will be interesting to see if they take further action to get rid of some players.
The Buffalo Bills are still the favorites to win the AFC East, despite the departure of Stefon Diggs. Aaron Rodgers and company, though, will be considered the favorites to win the division and go far in the postseason if the Jets sign Davante Adams from the Raiders.
