Rory Lee Feek is an American country music singer and songwriter. In his career, he has written singles for Clay Walker, Blake Shelton, Tracy Byrd, and other artists.
Feek was married to Joey, the mother of Indiana, from 2002 until her death from cervical cancer in 2016. As the country-bluegrass duo Joey + Rory, the couple released seven studio albums, including 2012’s “His and Hers” and 2013’s “Made to Last.”

Celebrating the beginning of a new chapter in his life, country musician Rory Feek is approaching ten years since suffering a personal tragedy.
Last week, Feek confirmed that he married Rebecca, his daughter Indiana’s teacher, in a Montana ceremony on July 14.
In front of family and friends, the couple exchanged vows “under a beautiful timber-frame pavilion” in Greycliff, Montana, and he surprised her with a specially composed wedding song.
Their shared daughter Indiana is now ten years old. In addition, Rory and his ex-wife Tamara Gilmer have two daughters, Heidi, 38, and Hopie, 36.
Grammy Award-winner Feek discussed his marriage in-depth in a blog post titled “The Wedding Singer,” which was uploaded to his website on Friday. Feek is known for his 2017 album “Hymns.”
The song’s music video, which Feek released, provided an intimate look into the couple’s wedding. In the video, the bride appears wearing a gorgeous long-sleeved lace dress, her hair styled in an elegant updo, and a floor-length veil trailing behind her.
She meets Feek at the altar, where he surprises her with a special song. Feek is wearing a red velvet vest over a white shirt and beige slacks.
Reflecting on the song’s inspiration, Feek said, “I found myself thinking about how blessed I was to be allowed to love again.

Feek mentioned that although the musical performance was a highlight, the moment when Indiana welcomed Rebecca into their family stood out the most.

“Indiana has a very deep and profound love for her mother,” Feek said. “Rebecca and I did not want to cause any harm to that.
Thus, we did nothing but wait and observe to see if Indiana would ever consider Rebecca as more than just her friend.”
By March, however, Indiana appeared to have figured things out, and even urged Rebecca directly to “marry Papa.”
That same day, she told her father, “My mama’s been gone a long time. And she might become my new mother if she marries you.”
