Katsuki Bakugo is one of the most adored superhero shonen characters in My Hero Academia.
My Hero Academia, the popular superhero manga by Kohei Horikoshi, is ending soon and has entered the Final War arc.
In this arc, the heroes are engaged in a fierce battle against the villains after successfully luring out All For One. The series has now reached an exciting stage, and readers cannot wait to see what happens next.
But viewers of the series have noticed that the explosive deuteragonist Katsuki Bakugo has been missing for a while.
It seems strange not to have seen him play for so long, especially considering how competitive he is known to be. Given his nature, one would expect him to be actively involved on the battlefield.
Did Bakugo die in MHA?
Bakugo does not die in My Hero Academia
Many fans of My Hero Academia would be relieved to hear that Bakugo does not die in the series. Unfortunately, he was severely injured, so he has not been seen in a fight in quite some time.
It was a blow from Shigaraki that ruptured Bakugo’s heart and left him unconscious.
Edgeshot immediately offered his life to repair Bakugo’s broken heart. Thanks to his quirk, Foldabody, which enables him to extend and spread out his body, he became as thin as a surgical suture and started to heal Bakugo’s body from the inside out.
This self-sacrificing gesture, however, came at a cost, as Edgeshot’s lifespan was shortened due to the extreme stretching of his body. It is unclear whether he can revert to his natural form after this ordeal.
In conclusion, Bakugo is alive and will eventually return. An image by Horikoshi that shows Bakugo with a scar on his chest, alluding to his new look upon his return, lends even more credence to this.
Bakugo is a case of “Go Big Or Go Home”
Katsuki Bakugo, the protagonist’s hot-blooded childhood friend and rival in shonen anime, is a character created purely to make the viewer fall in love.
Fans loving a character enough has saved them from the chopping block in the past; Vegeta and Hiei are great examples of this, and the element of rivalry often makes them attractive to the audience.
Does Bakugo end up evil?
Once a bully and all-around jerk, especially to his former childhood friend, Midoriya, he redeems himself as the series goes on, becoming a true hero and friend to his classmates.
In the Japanese version of the anime, Clifford Chapin voices him, while in the English version, Nobuhiko Okamoto does.
