It has been rumored that Dominic Zamprogna’s character Dante Falconeri is the latest cast member to depart from Port Charles. But is this rumor true at all?

No, Dante is not leaving General Hospital. The rumors that Zamprogna will be leaving his role as Dante are untrue.
While he was grateful for his role in General Hospital, he realized that he had never explored the professional scene in the United States.
He had come to the United States from Canada for the show and was interested in exploring his options as a free agent.
He desired to establish contacts in the industry and perform his “due diligence.” Zamprogna described his leave from General Hospital as a “mental health break.”
He eventually returned to the show because, despite the new connections he was making, he missed his GH family and loved playing Dante. Despite being back on GH full-time, he concluded that his time away from the show was beneficial and that he is currently working on other projects.
Additionally, he conveyed his appreciation to the staff of General Hospital for their cordial welcome back in 2020. Fans can therefore relax because it does not appear that Dante will disappear anytime soon.
