On the 30th of June, Sunday, the Big Machine Label Group announced that Scooter Braun, music mega-manager, and his company Ithaca Holdings, had acquired it.
Currently, Scooter Braun is working with Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, and numerous other entertainers. Earlier, Braun has also worked with Kanye West.
Swift was outraged at this. Big Machine owned the last six albums among the master recordings of Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift claimed that she had been trying to purchase her old master recording albums for years, but Scott Borchetta, the founder of Big Machine, refused to budge.
When Swift was 15, she started her career as a musician, and she continued working there until her last fall, she switched to the Republic Records of Universal Music Group at a highly publicized deal.

Master recording of a is the one that all copies are made from. In the case of Taylor Swift, the song “You Belong With Me” is the song she recorded in the studio in 2009, and all the copies that are available worldwide are copies of that record only.
