Kelly Clarkson: Who is she?
American singer-songwriter-actor-television personality Kelly Clarkson is also a singer. In Fort Worth, Texas, she was born on April 24, 1982. In 2002, Clarkson gained notoriety by taking home the title of “American Idol” season one champion.
Kelly Clarkson’s debut single, “A Moment Like This,” was made available after she won “American Idol,” and it quickly rose to the top of the charts. 2003 saw the release of her self-titled debut album, which was a commercial success. Several albums, including “Breakaway” (2004), “My December” (2007), “Stronger” (2011), and “Meaning of Life” (2017), have been released by the artist since that time.
In addition to receiving numerous accolades for her music, including three Grammy Awards, Clarkson is renowned for having a strong and soulful voice.
Why did Kelly Clarkson leave ‘The Voice’?
In May 2022, it was disclosed that Kelly would be leaving the program. A contestant she coached has won in four of the show’s past eight seasons, which is one of the reasons why many people were surprised by the news. However, given that there had been rumors about her departure for months prior to that, not everyone was as shocked as they should have been.
Even though she has not explicitly stated her reasons for leaving, Kelly has been giving away hints about them.
The “Breakaway” singer hinted that she might be making some changes to her life in an Instagram Q&A at the beginning of 2022 in order to spend more time with her children, who are currently 8 and 6.
I have made the decision that this year, there will only be a few changes for me that I can not discuss here, Kelly said.
She said, “I have been able to make more time just for me and my kiddos and still be able to work,” and added, “I have got to take advantage of that because they only want to hang out with you for so long and that is now.”
Kelly has a lot on her plate
However, it goes beyond her desire to spend more time with her children. New tasks are filling up her schedule quickly.
In addition to hosting her own daytime talk show, which will replace Ellen DeGeneres’ long-running talk show, Kelly also serves as the executive producer and co-host of the American Song Contest, which is meant to be the country’s response to the perennially popular Eurovision song contest.
In addition, Kelly told Variety in an exclusive interview that she has finished recording her first album in five years, which will be released in 2023. This explains why she made the decision to skip Season 22.
Despite the possibility that this is just a coincidence, she is also slated to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 19, which also happens to be the day Season 22 of The Voice debuts.
