Numerous shows have been revived, continued, or rebooted for reasons that we are unsure of, but few of them have received enthusiastic receptions upon their comebacks.
Most likely not with Justified, which is getting a sequel with the upcoming Justified: City Primeval, more than eight years after the original was finished. The web series’ premiere on FX and Hulu will happen this summer.
What do we know so far?
You will be happy to know that U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens is making a comeback to television with Justified: City Primeval (2023) if you have been craving to watch a gritty modern Western hero on television.
With classic series like The Shield and Sons of Anarchy as well as more recent hits like The Americans and Snowfall, FX’s library of suspenseful dramas is undoubtedly stocked to the gills.
One show, in particular, has endured the test of time as an all-time great television program, even though FX has garnered praise and nominations for Emmys for a lifetime for all these beloved shows and more. A U.S. Marshal stationed in Miami, Florida, travels to his native Kentucky in the Justified television series to help him navigate a complex web of crime and murder. Justified is a brilliant modern-day interpretation of the Western genre.
Justified: City Primeval
Justified: City Primeval is an adaptation of the Elmore Leonard book of the same name. The late, illustrious crime novelist Leonard, of course, is the one who gave Raylan Givens his name.
The plot twist is that the book is not actually about Raylan Givens, so it is being adapted for everyone’s favorite basic cable marshal.
Givens, who only wants to take his daughter Willa (Vivian Olyphant) on a pleasant road trip, is coerced into helping to capture the dangerous criminal Clement “the Oklahoma Wildman” Mansell (Boyd Holbrook) in Detroit.
Is Justified coming back?
Justified: City Primeval is expected to use the same “one day later on streaming” release strategy that FX and Hulu have used with all of their recent programs.
As a result, Hulu subscribers will have access to fresh episodes of the show the day after their cable television debuts. All six seasons of Justified are currently available to stream on Hulu, in case you want to catch up on U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens’ story thus far.
When Is Justified: City Primeval Coming Out?
Justified: City Primeval will officially launch on the network on July 18, 2023, according to a date that FX has finally announced. The show’s world premiere is scheduled for Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the 12th ATX Television Festival, which will be held in secret. Justified: City Primeval will have an FX network home, similar to the first two seasons.

Justified: City Primeval – FAQs
Is Boyd coming back to Justified?
There is still a lot to be excited about, even though Walton Goggins will no longer be playing Boyd Crowder. Watching Raylan Givens kick butt on screen is going to be incredible.
Where can I watch Justified 2023?
FX’s Justified: City Primeval can be streamed on Hulu.
Why was Justified canceled?
Timothy Olyphant, the show’s star, and Graham Yost, the show’s creator, were primarily responsible for the decision to cancel. The arc of the show and what they had to say, in their opinion, would be best served by six seasons as opposed to seven, according to John Landgraf, president of the FX network.
