The 39-year-old musician noticed the group of women snapping photographs while performing “Tin Man” at the event in Las Vegas. Lambert pauses midway through the song in a video published by NowThis News.

Danny, I’m going to pause right here for a moment. I apologize. These females aren’t paying attention to the song because they are too busy taking pictures. I’m becoming a little annoyed with it. It’s not at all to my taste. I’m singing some country songs, for God’s sake, said Miranda Lambert.

Some fans, who were spotted leaving the event, did not like her action, though. You don’t treat fans like, a lady could have heard shouting.

There was a caption for the video saying that it was warranted or unjustified. Miranda Lambert’s fans are divided when the country singer interrupted a song midway through to reprimand a group of female audience members for snapping a selfie.

There was another Tweet that in a widely shared cellphone video of the event, some concertgoers can be heard yelling, “You don’t do that to fans,” as they leave the arena. Others have backed Lambert, citing the selfie incident as yet another illustration of the lack of civility displayed by concertgoers this summer around the country.

Who is Miranda Lambert?

Miranda Lambert, whose full name is Miranda Leigh Lambert, was born in Longview, Texas, in 1983. She is a music singer-songwriter in America whose catalog spans from raucous dreams of retribution to tender reflections on family life. She became a favorite icon of the country music industry due to the popularity of her albums and feisty, down-home character.

Mostly in the town of Lindale in northern Texas, Lambert was reared. She grew up surrounded by country music since her father played the guitar at home, and she became a fan of both the time’s mainstream country artists as well as outlaw singer-songwriters like Merle Haggard.

Miranda Lambert Career History

Miranda Lambert attended a local talent show at the age of 16. She then resolved to study the guitar and start writing her songs, and she started playing honky-tonks. Her exposure to kitchen-table tales of betrayal and despair influenced her music at the time because her parents worked as private investigators and occasionally provided sanctuary for battered women.

She planned an early high school graduation since she wanted to pursue music, and in 2001, Miranda Lambert, her debut album, was independently published.

Lambert participated in Nashville Star, a talent show for young country artists that was aired and based on American Idol. Although she was unsuccessful, record industry executives were impressed by her energetic performances and signed her to a deal.

Lambert’s 2005 album Kerosene was the follow-up to the tenderly sentimental song “Me and Charlie Talking” (published in 2004). The album soon developed a following, primarily made up of young women who respected her creative self-determination (she got a songwriting credit on all but one song) and her down-to-earth demeanor—despite the songs’ moderate success on country radio.

The upbeat title single, on which Lambert played a wronged lady out for vengeance, earned her a Grammy Award candidacy and cemented her status as a charming spitfire. In the renowned film Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2007), she continued to express her true feelings.
