Shamele Mackie, better known by his stage name Papoose, is an American rapper born on March 5, 1978.
Papoose has released four studio albums and 29 mixtapes since 1998, and he is well renowned for his freestyles and prodigious mixtape output.

Their early life
She began fighting in rap fights in high school. She rapidly established a reputation as one of the best in her neighbourhood. Before she knew it, her mixtapes were being played in local bars and other locations.
He grew up in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighbourhood.
A matrilineal DNA test performed by African Heritage, Inc. indicated that he descended from the Tikar people who lived in modern-day Cameroon, contrary to an earlier rumour claiming his heritage could be traced to Liberia.
Their Career
On the Roots of Evil album by Kool G Rap, Papoose makes his rap debut. The b-side “Alphabetical Slaughter” was included on his debut single, “Thug Connection,” which was released in 2004.
He turned down an eight-album deal with Select Records. After spending time at Rikers Island, Papoose started making and selling mixtapes on his own.
He gave one to DJ Kay Slay outside the Hot 97 studios in New York, who invited Papoose to appear on his radio program.
Remy was found and later appeared on Big Pun’s “Yeeeah Baby” album. Big Pun was her mentor till his death in 2000. After that, Fat Joe continued mentoring her, which eventually resulted in his record label, SRC, signing her.
About their relationship
At a professional gathering in New York City in 2004, DJ Kay Slay introduced Papoose and Remy Ma. This was their first encounter.
Four years later, when Remy was serving time for assault, illegally possessing a firearm, and attempted coercion, they married. The accusations are related to a gunshot from 2007.
Over the weekend, Papoose and Remy Ma commemorated their 15th wedding anniversary. In a post on Instagram, Papoose shared images of the two of them over the years while reflecting on the milestone. On his Instagram Story, he posted several pictures of them enjoying the day.

Remy and Papoose have decided to split up and file for divorce, thus ending their 11-year-long relationship. Many people were shocked to hear the news of their divorce. The couple made their separation official, ending a period in which they appeared to have weathered many storms together.
Remy Ma listed “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the breakup in her lawsuit. Additionally, she said that Papoose had been unfaithful to her and had recently found proof of it.
The accusations of infidelity have received no response from Papoose. He did, however, issue a message via social media expressing his “deep sadness” over the divorce news.
Before Remy was imprisoned in 2007, he and Papoose began dating. Remy was detained for shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph at a Manhattan nightclub just a few months after they started dating. She was sentenced to 6 years in jail after being found guilty of assault and using firearms.
Papoose stood by her side the entire time. The two got hitched while Remy was incarcerated. After his release, the pair welcomed their daughter Reminiscence into the world.
