Emmy nominations honor television programs that aired between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023. The nominees were revealed by Television Academy CEO Frank Scherma and chairman Yvette Nicole Brown during a live webcast on Wednesday morning.
The 75th Primetime Emmys, which will be broadcast on Fox on September 18 and will be produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, are currently scheduled to air. (The two-night Creative Arts Emmys are scheduled for September 9 and 10, with the awards show airing on FXX on September 10).
The telecast will most likely be moved to either November, as the TV Academy has chosen, or January, as Fox would prefer to air it, according to a report from Variety on Monday. This is because of the WGA strike and a potential SAG-AFTRA strike. There is no host listed yet. Listed below are the nominees.
The most nominated shows
- 27 – Succession
- 24 – The Last of Us
- 23 – The White Lotus
- 22 – Ted Lasso
- 14 – The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
- 13 – The Bear, Beef, and Dahmer
- 12 – Wednesday
The Creative Arts ceremonies are currently scheduled for September 9-10, with the 75th annual Emmys scheduled to air live from the Peacock Theater (previously the Microsoft Theater) on Monday, Sept. 18, from 5-8 p.m. PT/ 8-11 p.m. ET on Fox.
Although the Fox ceremony has not yet been given a host, Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay are slated to oversee its production.
If the ongoing writers’ strike is not resolved later this summer, it is possible that the award ceremonies will be postponed. As SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers negotiate a new contract, the prospect of an actor’s strike also exists.
